The water temperatures on Folly Beach can range from near 90 degrees
to the lower
40's. The months of December, January, February, and March always
require full suits; several months on either side of this period also
demand some sort of cold protection. For this reason McKevlin's

Our surfwear for both guys and girls is chosen based mainly on how
well it does what it's supposed to do. Just because a company has a glitzy logo and buys page after page of
advertising space, doesn't mean their stuff hits our racks. It has to be good, and it has to be real surf
. After that, we try to find stuff that isn't EVERYWHERE. We don't sell
surfwear brands found at the local department store, and we prefer brands that
aren't offered by nearby surf shops. We like to offer unique, inspired
products that show style and personality - not just the biggest names or the
most advertised brands.
Accessories
McKevlin's carefully selects accessories from some of the very
best surf brands available. In footwear we stock trusted names like

Skateboards
Instead of turning ourselves into a wanna-be but not quite skate
shop, McKevlin's concentrates on offering more surf-style skateboard equipment.
The skateboards we carry are perfect cross-trainers to improve your
surfing. Gravity, locally-made Charleston Boards, and Sector 9 produce some of the finest longer boards
around. Whether you're a long or shortboarder, riding these types of skateboards
will make you a better surfer.
