Just got word that Will Allison, shaper and owner of Allison Surfboards will also be in attendance for our Surfboard Demo (see below+below).  Now, you can talk design with not one - but two of the east coast's most prolific shapers!  See you there.

This just in.  Todd Sutz, shaper and owner of Island Inspired Surfboards will be here for the Surfboard Demo (see below).  He's bringing an impressive selection of his own shapes to join our fleet at the Washout.  You can talk boards, shapes, and design with a real professional.

Free Surfboard Demo     6/8/08
June 20 is the day, 2 PM to 7 PM @ the contest site of the Washout.  To help celebrate International Surfing Day, we're offering over 20 surfboards for you to try out during this 5-hour demo.  Last year was a lot of fun, and everyone wanted to go for it again.  There'll be boards from Allison, Bing, Channel Islands, Island Inspired, Lost, McKevlin's, Seasoned, and Sharp Eye.  Don't miss it!

Budding Artist Alert     5/4/08
Drew Brophy
, world famous paint pen artist, will be visiting our shop on July 20 from 1 - 4 P.M.  Drew will give a live surfboard painting demonstration and will give away posters and stickers.  You can meet the artist and have questions answered by the pro.  Don't miss it!  
Also, Drew has a new DVD out called "Paint Pen Techniques With Drew Brophy."  When Drew visits we'll have plenty of DVD's available as well as Brophy t-shirts and Drew's 12 pack paint pen kits.

Team Results     4/7/08
The first contest of the new ESA season was held at the Washout on March 29 and 30.  Bryant Thomas captured second in 3A Jr. Men and took an impressive fifth in the super-competitive Open division.  Evan Tanner coasted to first place in his 3A Boys final.  Kristin Tanner took third in Women's shortboard and fourth in Women's longboard.  And, Glenn Tanner continued his winning tradition with a first place in both Legends longboard and Grand Masters shortboard!
