SUPERbrand Surfboards was founded in 2008 by surfers Dion Agius, Clay Marzo, and Ry Craike. The premise was a company focused on progressive surfing, progressive art, and rider-driven shapes backed by shapers worldwide.
The graphics are all either designed or directed by artist Tony Larson (Girl, Chocolate Skateboards, Fourstar Clothing, DC Shoes). And, while some brands don't even give you fins, all the SUPERbrand shapes come with premium fins valued from $80 to $120.
The boards are carved by The Shapers' Collective: A group of innovative shapers located all over the world who collaborate with each other as well as with SUPERbrand's team. The cutting-edge crew consists of Australian Adam "Sparrow" Fletcher (we've carried his boards before), Hawaiian Matt Kinoshita, Jason Koons from the U.S. west coast, Lynn Shell (we've carried his shapes as well) from the U.S. east coast, and Europe's Nuno Matta from Portugal. This Collective provides variety as well as regional expertise to SUPERbrand's extensive set of models.
